Deputy Jerry Donaldson (Instructor)

Jerry is a retired K-9 Supervisor for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department.  He was a 24-year veteran of the Sheriff's Department; he has handled 5 canines during his 22 years as a dog handler.  Jerry has received extensive training in all aspects of Obedience, Patrol and Narcotic Detector Dog training from some of the most recognized trainers in the United States and Europe.


Jerry is also a former member and trainer of North American Police Work Dog Association and United States Police Canine Association. Deputy Donaldson is the former President of the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association and is also a National Trainer and President of the N.N.D.D.A. National Training Committee.  Deputy Donaldson and K-9 “Aron” were awarded 1st place in the N.N.D.D.A. (2004 Arkansas Region) Narcotic Detector Dog Competition.

JERRY’S DUTIES:

Assisting with introducing Vehicle and Structural search patterns, Obedience training for Patrol and Narcotic Detector dogs, Tracking, Building search and Criminal apprehension training for Patrol dog training, providing instruction on Case Law, Courtroom Testimony,  K-9 handler problem solving and Certification Standards.
